Draft Strategic Plan for Rutgers University-New Brunswick

September 8, 2014

Members of the Rutgers University–New Brunswick Community:

Over the past several months, a committee of New Brunswick faculty, staff, and students has worked to consider proposals and make recommendations for the Rutgers–New Brunswick strategic plan. The current draft of the plan, which I have attached, highlights several critical campus priorities on which we will focus in the next five years, as well as several new initiatives that leverage our strengths to achieve our goals.  As you will see, we give particular emphasis to strengthening our academic core and to improving the student experience.

I invite all members of the community to review the current version of the strategic plan and to send any comments to NBStratPlan@oldqueens.rutgers.edu.  We would appreciate receiving your comments by noon on Monday, September 15.  We are counting on wide participation and input as we revise and finalize our plan.

I am grateful to all the members of our community who have been involved in the plan’s development to date, including those who submitted proposed initiatives for consideration, and I look forward to continuing to work with you to produce a strong and effective document that will guide our campus for the next several years.
